I make it back to my dorm quicker than ever, locking the door behind me and then sink to the floor. I can feel Harley’s cum still dripping from me, and I’m in desperate need of a shower, but I can’t move.

Sobs take over, and tremors wrack my body as I finally lose the careful control I’ve had on my emotions. Everything hits me at once, from the threats made by my father, killing a man and Harley, it’s an avalanche of suppressed anger, sadness, and fear that feels so overwhelming I can barely breathe.

Things I’ve forced myself to push to the back of my mind come forward, and I relive the memories. Memories of myfather leaving bruises on me, memories of his harsh words and terrifying threats, memories of the sinking loneliness I’ve felt for years, and that deep-seated part of myself that just wished someone would see me for who I really am.

But it’s not as though someone didn’t, because I got the courage to show Harley who I really was, but then I was forced into something I didn’t want to do, and ruined everything. Why couldn’t he have looked deeper? Why couldn’t he have seen it for what it really was? Why do I have to fucking feel like this?

Why is it that I had to have the father that I do?

He needs to be stopped, and while I do have information I could use to take to the police or the press, he has friends in high places, and I can’t guarantee he won’t be able to just have it all brushed under the rug and hidden away. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s done it, so that leaves me stuck, not having the slightest idea of what to do.

Logan says he’s working on something, but what can he do, really? I know he’s into some shady shit, but at the end of the day, he’s just a college student, same as me.

It makes me wonder if I’ll everreallybe free from this never-ending nightmare, or if this has been my fate all along.

No.

I refuse to believe that.

I refuse to be another person beaten down by the horrifying man that I call my father.

He can hit me and hurt me, but I won’t let him destroy me.

I’ll make him pay for everything he’s done, no matter the cost.

I won’t let him keep doing this to people, it’s not right, and maybe I should have done something a long time ago, but I felt trapped, unable to escape.

But no more.

That man has taken enough from me, and this is the end.

I just need to come up with a plan to take him down.

Easy, right?

FORTY-FIVE

HARLEY

“Fuck off,”I mutter as something lands on my back. I tilt my head to the side and see one of those fuckers tossed a fucking pillow at me. “What do you want?” I ask, not knowing who it is but not caring enough to check.

“You’re a miserable little fuck, and it’s pissing me off.”

I sigh. “What do you want from me, Cole?”

“I want you to stop being a mopey little bitch and bring the old Harley back. I’m sick of having to tell the girls you’re okay and don’t need an intervention.”

The girls, because we have those now.

Living with us, I mean. I don’t have a girl, not like Cole and Noah do. No, I royally fucked that up years ago, and now I’m dealing with the consequences.

Reaping what I sowed.

Being bitched by karma.

Whatever.

“I’m fine.”
