“Why?” He peeks up at me with narrowed eyes and climbs out of the bed.

“Where are you going?” I giggle.

“I’ve something I need to take care of.” He shuffles toward the bathroom and closes the door.

Throwing the covers off me, I follow him but pause when I hear the shower switch on. Last night when I walked in on him, I had no idea he would be naked, and I froze when I saw him, cock in hand, because fuck, it was so hot. Seeing what touching me had done to him, I was so turned on I couldn’t stop my legsfrom moving toward him if I tried. But knowing he will be naked now, I’m torn.

What’s happening here?

“Leo?” I knock on the door. “Are you okay?”

“Fine, Ri Ri,” he shouts through the door.

“You don’t sound fine.”

“Just give me five minutes.”

“Okay.” Reluctantly, I back away and start to pull out my clothes for the day, laying it all out on the bed. Checking my hair in the mirror, I smile at the pink tinge in my cheeks that I touch gingerly with the tips of my fingers before dragging them through my messy hair and pulling it up into a lopsided bun on top of my head.

“Whoever the designer is of that nightwear, they are a genius and a magician.”

“I’m sorry?” I look at Leo through the glass of the mirror. His hair is damp and swept off his chiseled face, showcasing his steel-gray eyes that are fixed on me. I’ll be sending Grace a thank you for packing this particular outfit. When I pulled it out last night, I groaned knowing she’s playing matchmaker, but seeing how his eyes darkened when he saw me standing in the doorway of the bathroom, I knew it was the right choice.

“You look so sexy in that it’s fucking hard to look at you.” His hands clench at his sides, and I enjoy the view of him shirtless and wearing gray sweatpants. The male version of my outfit.

“Thank you.” I lick my lips before I turn to face him, and he sucks in a breath. “But you didn’t explain when I made you come in your pants before.” I raise an eyebrow and he tips his head up to the ceiling, groaning.

“Why is my post-orgasm state always to be fucking truthful?”

“Good to know that’s how I can get an honest answer out of you.” I smirk at him.

“Funny, Ri Ri.”

“So…” I motion for him to keep going.

“I can’t make you forget I said that?”

“Nope.” I cross my arms across my chest, and his eyes drop to my breasts before he quickly checks himself.

“Jesus Christ. I can’t believe I’m telling you this.” He pauses, gathering his thoughts. “Remember your graduation party?”

“Yes?” I frown.

“You were wearing that short red dress with thin straps. It was stuck to you like a second skin, and you had these fucking shoes that made your legs look impossibly long.” He takes a breath as he rakes his hand through his hair. My mind races, shocked that he can remember what I was wearing over ten years ago. “Your hair was in long curls down your back, and all evening you were glowing, smiling, just free, and I remember thinking ‘Ria never looks like that.’ You’re always so focused and in control, and I watched you dancing, letting loose, and you just looked beautiful.” My mouth gapes as I listen, and I drop my hands to my side, and his eyes meet mine with a vulnerability I don’t think I’ve ever seen on him before. “You spotted me and dragged me to the dance floor to dance to Kevin Lytle’s ‘Turn Me On.’ Of course I followed because I think we both know I’ll do pretty much anything you ask me to do.” He huffs out a laugh, shaking his head. “And well, you were grinding against me. I don’t think you were doing it on purpose, but it was so hot and well, sixteen-year-old me had to disappear after you looked over your shoulder and gave me a seductive grin, wild blue eyes alight with pure happiness. I think you can gather why.” This time he does let out a huge laugh. “Because none of that is embarrassing.” Turning and giving me his back, he leaves me utterly stunned.

“Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Brent,” Cole greets us as we walk into the breakfast room, and my heart flips at the way he calls me Mrs. Brent, especially when Leo pulls me even closer into his chest and kisses the top of my head.

“Good morning.” Leo takes the lead.

“Did you both enjoy last night?”

“Yes, it was a beautiful evening. Thank you,” I say.

“And the suite was to your liking?”

Leo looks down at me, smiling, and my cheeks flush. “Perfect.”

“Excellent.” Cole beams. “Well, enjoy the rest of the day. I’ll be in touch. If you need anything, let Emily know on reception and she will make it happen.” With that, he gives us a clipped nod before he disappears.
