We begin walking toward the door as I ask, “What is your problem with Kate’s sister? I get why she can’t stand you, but why don’t you like her?”

Marius gives me an odd look. “She can’t stand me? A lot of thanks I get for rocking her world for an entire week one summer. If anyone has a reason to dislike someone, it’s me. She’s the one who did the ghosting act and ruined what was shaping up to be a good time for both of us.”

He walks away as I watch him move out into the hallway, stunned to find out Marius and Kelly were together at one point. There’s no way Kate knows about this.

I’ll save that for after we get to Aruba.

We siton the balcony of our hotel suite and watch the sun set on the first night of our honeymoon. Kate’s been quiet for a while, so I tilt her chin up and look into her eyes to see if I can find out why.

“What?” she asks with a chuckle. “Do I have sand in my hair still?”

I shake my head and smile as the thought of the two of us making love down on our private beach earlier drifts through my head. I’ve always wondered what sex on the sand was like.

Someone should have warned me it isn’t what everyone thinks it is before they experience it.

“No, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to have sand in my pants for days.”

She throws her head back and laughs. “I’m worried about my nooks and crannies. That sand got everywhere! Why don’t people who’ve had beach sex tell the rest of us so we don’t makethe same mistake? I’d think one of your brothers would have mentioned it to you.”

Suddenly, I remember what Marius said to me about her sister right before the ceremony. I sit up and face my wife, shaking my head in disbelief to this moment.

“Oh, my God. Do you know what my brother told me as we were walking down to the ceremony today? He and your sister were together. Like sleeping together at some point.”

Confusion fills her expression as she stares at me with her mouth open. “What? Which brother? When? They’re all with someone, Ronan.”

“I don’t know when it happened, but Marius said he and Kelly spent a week together one summer before she ghosted him. That explains why he always seemed to not like her. Any idea why she doesn’t like him?”

Kate shrugs. “No idea. She’s just never had a nice thing to say about him. I wonder when this week together happened.”

“I don’t know. I still can’t believe it, honestly.”

She snuggles up against my side and puts her head on my chest. “Your best man and my maid of honor hooked up and spent a week together doing God only knows what, knowing him. I can’t believe she didn’t tell me, though. When we get back, I’m getting the full details.”

I kiss her softly on the top of her head and sigh. “That can wait. In the meantime, it’s just you and me and no more sex on the beach.”

Kate tilts her head back to look at me and smiles. “Oh, definitely.”

“This balcony seems like a pretty good spot,” I suggest, nuzzling her neck.

A blush makes her cheeks red. Sitting up, she looks around to see how secluded it is and then back at me. “It seems like we’re alone.”

I don’t bother to mention off in the distance there’s another hotel facing this one. Who cares if anyone sees a husband and wife have sex? It’s Aruba, we walked by at least half a dozen couples having sex on the sand just today, and I paid enough to be able to enjoy honeymoon sex with my wife.

“Does it really matter if we aren’t?” I playfully ask as I lift her onto my lap.

Again, she blushes in that sweet way I will love forever. “I guess not.”

“Good. I doubt anyone is watching here anyway. You don’t care, do you?”

Kate pulls her sundress over her head to reveal she’s entirely naked underneath. “No. Do you?”

I want to tell her that men don’t care about being seen naked in public. Or private. Or anywhere, for that matter. We’re pretty base creatures when it comes right down to it.

As I trail my fingertips over her breasts and belly, I shake my head. “All I care about is you.”

She lifts herself off me to push aside my shorts and slowly lowers down onto my hard cock. When I’m fully inside her, she sighs and leans forward to kiss me. “And all I care about is you, Ronan. I love you. I feel like I’ve always loved you.”

“There’s never been anyone but you, Kate.”
