“Do it,” she bossed. “I got you.”

“It’s too much.”

“I’m stronger than I look.”

He let all his weight go. Her mouth found his, and she kissed him with a ferocity that turned him into an animal. She’d unleashed a side of him he didn’t know existed. A man who wanted nothing but to bring her pleasure and receive it all back.

When she slowed the kiss, they shared a smile, then, she nudged him away. He rolled them sideways, but didn’t pull out. He was still hard as fucking steel. No way was he leaving her… not yet.

“Meglio di tutte le mie fantasie. Better than all my fantasies,” she confessed.

He caressed the side of her body, appreciating her curves, and brought his hand to rest on her hip.

“I’m gonna want to see you again,” he said. “Take you to dinner, steal you away for a weekend?—”

“Slow down, Tank?—”

“But after tonight, I won’t be able to for a while.”

Silence.

He’d insulted her.

She started to move away, but he held her close. “It’s not you?—”

“Spare me the bullshit.”

“Sydney,” he said. “Do. Not. Leave.”

She stilled.

“I just asked you out. I told you I’m totally into you. I got a work thing that’s serious?—”

“The White House?”

A wave of anxiety for taking a few hours for himself. To live out a fantasy he’d been dreaming about for months.

“I’m sorry,” she said. “I’m feeling a little vulnerable. I haven’t been close to anyone in a while.”

“Same.”

“Why?”

“Work mostly, but I get shy around women.”

“Not me, though.”

“I was a little nervous tonight,” he confessed.

That made her smile. “Are you nervous now?”

While kissing her, he caressed her perfect backside, the desire jumping to the forefront once again. “No, I’m not. Are you?”

“No.” She kissed him, letting her tongue swirl with his. “Again?”

“Again,” he replied, rolling on top of her.

AT FIVE-FORTY-FIVE IN THE MORNING,they lay boneless in the bed at LOST SOULS. He’d never been more sexually satisfied, never been more energized in his life.
