As her thrusting grew more frantic, Amy could tell that Luisa was getting close because she started to talk to Amy in a mix of Spanish and English while one of her hands grabbed the bed frame for support. Between moans she was whispering, “So good… hold me…” and more like that, until as she started to climax, and Amy’s orgasm started to rock through her too, gentler than earlier but still amazing, Luisa said quietly between moans, “Te deseo… te amo… estoy loca por ti…” Then after apause as her climax subsided, she rested on Amy, kissing her cheek and her neck again and again, a cascade of kisses, then back to her mouth, whispering, “Te amo… te amo…”.

After a few breathless minutes Luisa rolled onto her back and Amy propped herself up on an elbow, trailing her hand across Luisa’s body. “You’re a fast learner with that,” she teased, reaching her hand down to touch the strap-on.

Luisa smiled contentedly and replied, “I don’t know how we slept together before without that. It was very good.” She paused, then said, “I’ll be back soon,” as she headed to the bathroom.

Amy climbed under the sheets and lay back against the pillows, thinking about what Luisa had been whispering towards the end. She thought that she knew what ‘te amo’ meant even though her Spanish was bad, the consequence of a running joke on a holiday with friends in Ibiza when she was younger to do with a Spanish life guard who’d taken quite a liking to one of Amy’s friends and had said it to her a few times too many.

Reaching for her phone she checked that she was right, and then looked up the appropriate response before putting her phone down when she heard Luisa coming back out. She climbed into bed next to Amy.

As they lay facing each other, Amy said quietly, “What were you saying in Spanish to me just then?”

“Oh, just odd things, nothing that really made sense.” Amy could see from the way that Luisa broke eye contact that there was more to it than that.

Trying again, Amy asked, “What does te amo mean?”

Blushing but looking back into Amy’s eyes, Luisa replied, “Sort of I want you I guess, I don’t think there’s a direct translation. It was nothing.”

Amy lay looking into Luisa’s eyes for a long few moments, conscious that this could be a huge moment in their relationship. She’d never got to this point so quickly with anyone before, but with Luisa it just felt right. Their bond, their compatibility, everything, she had a depth of feeling for Luisa that she almost couldn’t describe. This was no holiday fling, this was the real deal.

“It’s ok if it was something,” Amy said quietly. “If there was something you were telling me. I felt like there was something you wanted to tell me when we were walking home earlier too.”

Luisa looked into Amy’s eyes uncertainly, clearly torn between saying something and being cautious.

“I… I don’t want to spoil our fun. I couldn’t bear getting this wrong and scaring you away. This is great as it is. I shouldn’t have said anything, I didn’t know what I was saying.”

Amy lifted one of Luisa’s hands to her lips and gave it a gentle kiss. “I know what te amo means,” she said.

Luisa’s eyes widened and her blush returned, but she stayed silent.

“Luisa… yo tambien te amo,” Amy continued haltingly, before stopping to see her reaction.

Smiling shyly, Luisa replied, “The one bit of Spanish you know…”

“I looked it up. But I mean it.” Amy smiled, pouring all of her affection into it. This was a special moment and she knew she’d remember it for the rest of her life. “I love you. I’m so happy to have met you. I don’t even mind if you’re not ready to say it yet, but I am. I’ve never met anyone like you. It feels so fast to be saying it, but I know it’s true.”

Luisa looked at her for a few moments, seemingly trying to work out if she was joking, and then leaned forward to kiss Amy’s cheek, moving on to her neck, before she whispered into Amy’s ear the words that Amy wanted to hear more than anything else in the world, “Te amo… I love you too.”

Open Together

Present Day

Sarah

London

Sarah glanced around the wine bar, checking for the fifth time that it was right for what she had planned. Busy without being too busy, a table that was private enough to talk without feeling visible or being overheard, the early autumn sunset streaming in through the tall windows at the front… perfect, or at least it would have been if the situation itself was not very far from being perfect.

It had been three weeks now since Sarah had gone to Amy’s flat and made her commitment and tonight she was meeting Joanna, the last of her other four mentees, to say the same thing she’d said three times already.

So far, reactions had been mixed… Rebecca had been the best. She’d laughed and said she’d happily keep sleeping with Sarah whether there was mentoring or not, thank you very much. She’dbeen the first that Sarah had spoken to and that had given her a false hope that it would be easy.

Now, she knew otherwise.

The other two, Klara and Alice, Sarah didn’t want to revisit them. Their reactions had shocked Sarah to her core. She’d always assumed that they were as into the physical side as Sarah had been, but now she knew otherwise. Anger, frustration, those had been the reactions and had brought home to Sarah the point that Amy had made… that Sarah had taken advantage of the power imbalance, and had had an adverse impact on the other parts of their lives. She felt ashamed not to have realised it before, but at least she knew now and she was determined to atone to both women as much as she could.

Now, it was Joanna’s turn… the last of the four, she’d been on holiday for a fortnight so this was the first chance they’d had to talk. Sarah crossed her fingers and prayed that this would be one of the good conversations rather than one of the bad.
