“There it is.”

“There what is?” I ask, a little confused.

“That beautiful blush to your cheeks. It’s one of my favorite hobbies. Making your face bright red. Second only to making your pretty ass red.”

“You’re a deviant.” I say and am instantly rewarded with his low chuckle that makes the butterflies flutter.

“I know I am, but you like it, baby.”

Stroking his fingers down my cheek he stares at me, watching my face with intense scrutiny.

“Are you going to tell me why you were upset tonight? Was it because of what you did?”

I shake my head and blow out a long breath before answering his question.

“No. It wasn’t that. I’ve lived through more sexual abuse than you can imagine. Remembering is painful—excruciating. For my mental health, I want to confront my abusers before I end their lives, but it hurts to relive it. When I was in front of them I could feel what they did to me all those years ago. And now I can still feel their fingers on my skin. I will never not remember, but I wish I could forget.”

Pain flashes in his eyes, but he quickly hides it from me.

“How can I help? What do you need from me, Killer?”

I place my hand on the back of his neck and pull him closer.

“You. I need you, Killian.”

He shakes his head, denying me as the fear of rejection crawls up my spine.

Trash. Not good enough. Wicked Girl.

“Don’t do that to yourself. I just want you to tell me what you need from me.”

When I don’t answer immediately, he lifts an eyebrow in response.

“I need you to give me a new memory. Replace the feeling of their touch with yours.”

He rips the towel open and drags his fingers from my breasts to my stomach.

“Do you feel my touch, baby? Only mine.”

“Yes,” I say, pushing into his touch, “Don’t stop.”

Leaning over me, he drags his tongue over the side of my neck until he’s close to my ear.

“Tell me you’re not evil. I want to hear the words.”

I gasp in response.

“Killian, I-“

He interrupts me and slaps my pussy, and I cry out from the unexpected sting.

“Yes, you can. Say it, Killer. Tell me you know you aren’t evil and that this is necessary.”

“I’m not evil.” I say, the words feeling foreign on my tongue.

“And?” Killian asks, clearly not satisfied.

“And killing them was necessary to save the children.”
