Chapter Ten

Abigail looked downat her costume and wriggled in the corset she had struggled to find.Roman wanted to go to the club where it all started for them and enjoy their first Halloween together.Technically, this was not their first Halloween together, as they’d been together the last four years.

It was one of the many reasons her ex had been so pissed off with her.He wanted to go to parties and spend time with her.Yet, whenever she asked him what his plans were, he always said he was tired and just wanted to go to sleep. She could never win.

The corset pushed her breasts right up, and it looked like they were not contained within the corset, but they were. They were all very contained and no chance of falling out.Thankfully, it also allowed her to breathe. The corset scooped in her waist and just glanced over her hips.On top of her corset was a skirt made with black lace.

She’d put some fake purple streaks in her hair, which she’d clipped on.They should just last the night, however, she rather liked the look of them, combined with her brown hair. The other blonde streaks she’d had done had all but faded, so it wouldn’t be long before she needed to book an appointment. She wore minimal makeup, mainly some eyeliner and lipstick, and she had also worn some stiletto heels, at Roman’s request and also purchase. There was no way she was going to forget that Roman had purchased these shoes, but what surprised her was how comfortable they actually were.

She was ready to go to the party.

The minutes seemed to pass, and finally, the door opened, and she made her way toward the front door. She had given him the code to the door, although Roman seemed to know it before she had even given it to him.He stood at the door, with no sign of Angel.

“Where’s Angel?”she asked. She had said that for a few hours she’d be okay in her apartment.Since they had gotten her, they’d not left her.

“She’s in the car.Carl said he’d take care of her for us.”

Abigail smiled and was a little relieved. She had absolutely come to love that dog.“That’s good. Are you ready to go?”

“Not yet, there’s something missing from your outfit,” he said.

She glanced down at her dress.Roman wore a suit, a rather dated suit, she felt he looked like a fifties’ gangster that the movies portrayed.

Roman wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her in close, startling her.

“This is what you’re missing.”

She didn’t get a chance to ask him as he pulled her in for a kiss, and she moaned as he took possession of her lips. This was not a gentle kiss. This was passionate.

She ran her hands up his chest and circled them around his neck, pressing their bodies close together. It felt good.More than good.In that moment, she would have gladly skipped the party.

Instead, Roman pulled away, and he put his hand on her ass.“Let’s go, before I decide we should just stay home.”

She couldn’t help but laugh, but they made their way out of her apartment to find Carl already waiting for them. She waved to him as they climbed into the back, and there was Angel, who nuzzled against her.

Angel had started to come out of her shell and trust them.It was the most beautiful feeling in the world.Cupping her face, she nuzzled her nose against the little girl. She would have gladly kissed her, but she didn’t want to get lipstick on her, but then Roman had already wiped off quite a bit of lipstick when he kissed her.

She felt the answering pulse between her legs as she glanced over at him.He fit into the suit really well.

“I can feel your eyes on me,” he said.

Abigail smiled.

The drive to the club didn’t take long, and Roman looked like he was struggling to leave Angel behind. She had a feeling there were not going to be many trips out in their future, and that was okay with her.Carl promised to take care of Angel, and she and Roman reluctantly left. They’d made these plans, and they were going to stick to them.

With his hand at her back, they made their way inside. The man at the main desk knew Roman, and there was no reason for them to stop and answer questions. They were allowed to go right in.
