His bit the soft skin around her nipple. “Say it.”

“I am yours, Akash.”

His eyes darkened, and a corner of his lips tipped upward. He sucked her breast hard, making her head spin. He moved to the other breast, licking, sucking, laving. Liquid fire burned through her core. She arched into him, her breath hitching as his mouth teased and tugged. Sensation built, rising higher and higher. She trembled, her head spinning as his mouth and hands worshipped her breasts. Her heart felt too full, swelling with an emotion she refused to name.

She clung to him as everything inside her slowly came undone. Akash was different tonight. Wild. Uncontrolled. Andshe loved it. She loved this raw, unhinged side of him. The promise in his eyes, the need in his touch, all of it was driving her mad. Heat flooded her body and desire surged through her veins. It was all too much, and yet not enough. Not nearly enough. She wanted more.

His mouth trailed lower, skimming across her belly and down to the apex of her thighs, to the place where she needed him most. His fingers traced her core. She trembled, and he grinned.

“Look how beautiful you are, so wet and ready for me,” he murmured. Taking her hands, he pressed them to her sides. “These remain here.”

She gulped, feeling her core melt even more at the authority in his tone.

“I’ve dreamt of this moment for far too long,” he said, and then his mouth swooped down on her core.

Her eyes slid shut as overwhelming desire surged through her. Fire spread beneath her skin, every nerve alive, every sensation heightened. Her breath came in uneven bursts as he devoured her, licking her core as if he couldn’t get enough. His tongue lashed at her core, while his thumb pulsed against her sweet spot. Her mind began to blur. Tremors racked her body as he pushed her to the edge. And just when it became too much… he thrust two fingers inside her. His mouth lapped faster at her heat while his fingers scissored inside her, igniting her body to fever pitch. Her head snapped from side to side.

Her fists clenched the sheets. Her body was like a live wire, every nerve charged and ready to snap. But Akash still wouldn’t let her come. He pushed her closer and closer to the edge but never let her fall. Oh, how she ached. Desire beat like a drum inside her. A volcano burned beneath her skin.

Her hands grabbed his hair, lifting his head.

“Please, I can’t take it anymore,” she pleaded.

Taking her hands, he placed them at her sides again, and then his mouth was back on her core, as he relentlessly sucked and lapped, his fingers twisting and moving deeper inside her.

Her breathing turned uneven. Her world narrowed to him—Akash, the only man who had ever known exactly how to reduce her to this burning, unraveling mess. He curved his fingers inside her at the same time his teeth pressed over her sweet spot. She screamed. Shivers raced through her. Her eyes rolled shut as wave upon wave of pleasure flooded her.

“I will never get over how absolutely stunning you are like this,” Akash said.

Her eyes opened, and she found him towering over her, watching her, his eyes swirling with heat. He shifted to shed his pajama bottoms, and she stared at his gorgeous body. Her eyes ran over him, taking in his muscled shoulders, his hard chest, those deliciously sharp abs, and then that part of him that stood hard and erect for her. A new sense of possessiveness washed over her. Akash Karia was the most beautiful man she’d ever laid eyes on, and he was all hers. Only hers.

He rolled on a condom, and a second later, he was on top of her again, driving into her with a hard thrust.

“I haven’t stopped thinking about you,” he said between thrusts. “You ruined me that night in Singapore.”

She kissed his lips. “You ruined me too. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you either.”

He drove into her harder and faster, losing all semblance of control. A wave of sensation built inside her, starting at her toes and sweeping through every inch of her. Her whole body began to shake and quiver. Clutching his arms, she moved with him now, needing the friction of his body against hers. Akash pressed his thumb to her sweet spot, and a rush of overwhelming intensity crashed through her, stealing the air from her lungsand leaving her trembling beneath him as she crested and broke apart, screaming his name.

His strokes became wilder, as though he’d completely lost control, and then he finally snapped, roaring out his release with her name on his lips. Moments later, he rolled onto his side and looked at her, his breathing as uneven as hers.

She couldn’t stop looking at him. Her heart refused to settle, and her pulse still raced from what had just unfolded. What had passed between them was too deep, too intense, and impossible to name. Every part of her ached to close the distance again, to fall back into his arms, to breathe him in, to hold on as though letting go was no longer an option.

Akash cupped her cheek. “I feel this too, Shauna.”

Her breath hitched. This man… how did he read her so easily? She studied him, relieved to see the tension had slipped away from him. His expression was softer now, his eyes lighter, and she was happy to see him at ease.

Akash drew the sheets around them before pulling her closer and pressing a kiss to her forehead. He tucked her into the warmth of his arms, keeping her close.

She shut her eyes, overwhelmed by all the emotions she was feeling. Emotions she was still scared of, but there was no denying them anymore. She inhaled, breathing him in. This man had broken her heart so many years ago. He wasn’t supposed to be hers, and now by a twist of fate, he was her fiancé—the man she was going to marry. He wasn’t supposed to make her feel this much. And yet, he always had, ever since the day they had met.

The truth settled over her with startling clarity. She had never truly let him go. Instead, she had kept him close in the only way she knew how—at a distance, keeping her true feelings hidden behind her sharp words and cold indifference. Their bickering hadn’t been rejection; it had been a tether, a way tokeep him within reach, to feel him push back. To get something, anything, out of him.

It was only after Singapore that she had tried to completely push him away. She’d been scared to face everything he had made her feel. And now, there was no denying it anymore.

She was wholly, unconditionally, and irrevocably in love with Akash Karia. She always had been. She’d watched him from afar for too long. She had craved him, and now for the first time in her life, she could allow herself to fully feel what she did for him.

Her eyes opened as the weight of that truth settled over her. She looked at Akash and found him fast asleep. Her heart lifted at the sight. Tonight had been hard for him, and now, seeing him finally sleeping soundly, relief unfurled quietly inside her. She snuggled deeper into his arms, shutting her eyes as a quiet calm settled over her.
