I yawn as he climbs in beside me. When he draws me into his arms, I rest my cheek on his chest, throwing my leg over his. All hot flesh pressed to hot flesh. Definitely better than pajamas.
He’s warm and smells so good.
“Did you just sniff me, pip?” Dante trails his fingers down my back almost to my butt, but then they trail back up. Little sparks drift with his touch, but it’s more soothing right now.
I put my hand under my chin on his chest and look up into his bemused light blue eyes. “You smell good.”
“So do you.” He keeps up the light caress. “But then, you smell like me.”
“I like smelling like you.” Snuggling back down into his arms, I press tighter against his body.
“I’ll warn you. I’m going to tell the others you snore like a buffalo so I can keep you to myself.” He shifts my leg so it falls between his.
I laugh at the thought. “They’ve already slept with me once.”
“We didn’t really get that much sleep last night, pip.”
I don’t mind the idea of Dante keeping me for himself. Even just for bedtime. For a few moments, I just sink into the feeling of being this close to him.
He blows out a breath. “All teasing aside, are you okay? You were crying when I came into your room.”
“Just overwhelmed. I talked to Madison a little.”
“Your friend that has four boyfriends.”
I nod. “She kind of knows what I’m going through. Though her guys had shared someone before.”
“Did she have a solution for the swapping bed problem?” His lips press against my forehead. Sighing, I sink a little more into relaxation.
“They have a really big bed for when they sleep all together.” I yawn and close my eyes, resting my hand on his hard abs.
“Like the hotel?” His voice sounds so far away.
“Mmhmm.”
He rubs my back. “Good night, pip.”
“Night, boss.”
Chapter 15
Overnight Delivery
Finn
I wake to a scratching noise. It’s still dark out. What the hell?
Rolling off the bed, I go to my door and look into the darkened hallway. A little whine follows the scratching. I open Dante’s door and Peabody comes out and trots off for the main door.
I run a hand through my hair and rub my bare chest. Of course, he has to go out in the middle of the night. What I should do is wake up Dante, who is probably in a sex coma with Sara. Sure, he was supposed to let her rest, but she’s hot and needy. I doubt he has any more control than me and Wyatt around her.
Shaking my head, I go into my room to pull on a pair of sweatpants and shoes.
He’ll owe me one.
Grabbing Peabody’s leash, I hook on his harness and pick him up to take him downstairs. When we get on the elevator, I don’t know what time it is. I didn’t even grab my phone. All I know is this dog needs to do his business, and I’d prefer for that to happen outside our apartment.
I nod to the night doorman and push through the exterior door. At this time of night, there’s no one else out. We make it across the street to the nearest piece of green and he takes his time to make sure he finds just the right spot, while I yawn and let the night air bring me fully awake.
