Takeover

Wyatt

I’m already fucking this up. Sara pulls away from Drew and gives a soft sigh. It shouldn’t matter who makes her sigh, as long as she’s being given pleasure. But I fucked up. She hesitated before coming to me.

With our history, I don’t blame her. But it made me realize I’ve been distant again, blocking her out so I can focus on puzzling through this mystery with Tom. And the anger at Tom for leaving us with this mess and no real clue as to what he’s gotten himself into, while putting Sara in danger.

“Are you ready to go home?” Dante holds his hand out to Sara and she moves effortlessly into his arms. A little bolt of jealousy churns in my stomach. I would never deny Dante this, but I wish it could be as natural with me and Sara.

I offer my hand to Drew and he shakes it. “We’ll be back tomorrow night to finish.”

“And we’ll definitely be taking breaks.” Finn smirks. “So decide how you’re going to take her first, because it’s been a while since I’ve had that many options.”

Finn glances at the sex dungeon. I run a hand through my hair and glance Sara’s way. Her pale green eyes are intensely curious. It’s an interesting setup. It’s easy to imagine Sara spread out on the bed or tucked on one of the benches or hung on the St. Andrew’s cross.

Maybe it shouldn’t be easy to imagine her with the others, but fuck if it’s not compelling.

“Good night.” She steps into Drew’s arms and lifts her mouth for a kiss.

He gives us a smile before dipping her back and kissing her shocked mouth. When he returns her to her feet, her smile is crooked and her eyes darkened.

“I’ll see you soon, princess.”

Dante puts his hand on the small of Sara’s back and leads her out to the elevator. Finn and I follow.

When the elevator doors shut, Sara glances nervously around at us.

“I don’t know how I’m supposed to act around you guys.” She wrings her hands.

“How do you want to act, flower?” Finn takes her hand and pulls her into his arms.

She shrugs. She touches his chest and gazes up at him. “None of this is simple and clear-cut.”

She glances over at me.

Fuck, I don’t want her to doubt herself, but I can see how I’ve fucked this up. I step up behind her and bring her red hair over her shoulder. A shiver races through her.

“When we’re alone, you’re ours.” I press a kiss to the side of her neck, and she exhales and relaxes into me.

“In public, you’ll be Drew’s.” Finn meets my eyes before lowering his head to the other side of her neck and kissing her there.

Her breath catches. The elevator doors open when we reach the ground floor and Finn steps back, but I don’t.

“I didn’t mean to ignore you, trouble.” I slide my hands over the slight swell of her abdomen. “When I get focused, I tend to forget everything but the problem at hand.”

She puts her hands over mine as she leans her head back against my chest.

“Just don’t forget about me.” Her voice is soft and vulnerable.

“I never forget about you, trouble.” I press a kiss to her temple and retreat.

Dante steps in and guides her with his solid presence. Her pale green eyes return to mine, and I see something in them that makes me hope for so much more than I can ever offer her. If she knew my past, she’d hate me along with everyone else.

I give her a smile as she gets into the car. The only person who knows my secret is Tom and we vowed to never talk about it again. When I get in the car, I take the seat next to her.

Dante sits on her other side, holding her hand in his lap. Their fingers are entwined and I can’t help but imagine them together in the future. They would make a good pair. Sara could heal Dante. Make him the father he always longed for.

She would be sweet to him and give him all her smiles.
