He tossed his head back as he laughed, and those little eye crinkles appeared, causing a fresh rush of desire to heat my skin.

“With you, I think my weapon has a mind of its own.” Rising, he pointed to the hallway. “I’ll be right back.”

“I’ll be here, recovering and trying to get my muscles to work again.”

His smile warmed every cell in my frame before he exited the room. Stretching on the couch, I sighed and pulled the blanket over my rapidly-cooling skin.

Leo returned, striding into the room as if he owned it, and I took a moment to admire his naked body. It was obvious he worked out consistently, and my mouth watered at his toned abs under the tiny black hairs that lined his happy trail.

He sat beside me, his expression lacking the stress it always seemed to carry. Cupping my face, he slowly stroked my cheek as he gazed at me.

“I really should’ve taken you to bed. Sorry. I didn’t want it to feel so rushed—”

“Don’t ever apologize for giving me great sex,” I said, nuzzling his hand. “That was awesome, and I’d like to do it again. Multiple times. The bed is optional.”

Chuckling, he nodded. “I’d like to do it again too. As many times as you want.”

My grin deepened. “You don’t even have to buy me dinner.”

“Of course, I’ll buy you dinner,” he said, his eyebrows drawing together.

“I was joking,” I said, playfully rolling my eyes. “But sure, dinner would be nice, as long as it comes with another round of mind-blowing sex afterward.”

“I can do that.” His thumb continued caressing my cheek as he contemplated. “We’ve had a long day, so I’m not sure if tonight is the best night for a first date.”

“Agreed,” I said with a nod. “Maybe you can just cuddle with me here on the couch and watch some TV before we have a go at round two.”

His resulting smile was so cute, it caused my heart to skip a beat. “Of course, I’ll cuddle with you, but we’re definitely going on a date. Can you do Wednesday night? I can pick you up at seven and we can go to my favorite sushi place. Do you like sushi?”

I nodded and Leo inhaled a quick breath before sneezing.

“Sorry,” he said, grabbing a tissue and blowing his nose. “I’m stuffy for some reason.”

Sonya strutted into the room, jumping atop my still-recovering body and situating herself on my stomach. “We both like sushi in this house, don’t we, Sonya?”

“Ah, you have a cat,” Leo muttered. He inhaled another quick breath before letting out a huge sneeze.

“Oh, shit.” Realization dawned as I gently pushed Sonya off my stomach. “You’re allergic to cats.”

“Very,” he said, arching an eyebrow.

“Bummer.” I glanced at Sonya as she plopped down on the rug that sat under the coffee table and observed us. “She’s my companion and queen of the house. I just live here under her command. Unfortunately, we’re a package deal.”

“Worth it,” he said, leaning forward to place a sweet kiss on my lips. “But I’ll definitely take some Benadryl next time I come over.”

“Good idea. I think I have some in the bathroom cabinet if you want to look.”

After he’d successfully ingested the allergy medication, we sprawled out on the couch, naked under the large, soft blanket. He spooned me as we caught up on episodes of The Pitt, and eventually, the hour grew late.

When we finished the most recent episode, the TV went silent. Leo gently turned me on my back, settling between my legs and sprawling over me. His hand glided down my body, finding the spot between my legs that ached for him.

Touching his fingers to my pussy, he worked them tenderly against my sensitive skin. His eyes locked with mine as he slid his fingers deep inside me, gathering my slick before sliding to my clit.

Mesmerized by his intense gaze and his fingers at my core, I cried his name when he brought me to the peak. As my body trembled with sated pleasure, he palmed my cheeks and loomed above me. Inching inside, he fucked me in long, measured strokes, as if he were imprinting himself deep within; claiming what washis.

Afterward, we lay sated and relaxed on the couch, slowly caressing each other’s skin.

Eventually, he sighed and glanced at the clock on the wall. “I should go.”
