“Yes.” The sharp word was bitten out. Bax was right there, and as soon as he finished, Jason felt Bax’s wet heat spill onto his arm.
He swayed, sucking in sex-filled air.Damn, that felt good.
“Uhn.” Bax licked his lips, loving on him slow and steady.
Lord, he was dizzy as all get out and it felt so good. “Uh-huh.”
“God, yes. Okay, Mini. Open your eyes and hold my shoulders, huh?” Bax eased down to push off his boots and jeans.
He wasn’t having kinky thoughts about Bax on his knees. He wasn’t. “Mmm.”
“Hush, you.” Bax laughed, breath hot on his thighs.
“Hmm?” He went for innocent, because that was all he had.
“Right.” Bax got all the extra clothes off them, then stood again. “Safe now.”
He went for a bull-rider pose, all spread and cocked hips. “Am I?”
“You are. Amazing, too.” Bax petted his belly.
Jason flushed, then pulled Bax up. “Let’s eat and build our energy up for round two.”
See him, see him be daring as all fuck.
“I like it.” Bax laughed right out loud, the sound relaxed and happy.
“Aren’t we happy as a dog with two tails?”
“Yep. I feel amazing.” Bax took his hand, leading him to go sit on the bed. “I’ll grab the feast.”
“Perfect.” He pushed the sheets around, making what felt like a decent place to serve the food. Flat, at least. Both he and Bax sucked at making the bed. After all, folks just unmade it every damn day, didn’t they?Yes. Yes, they did.Seemed like a big old waste of time, even when a feller could see it.
“I cain’t believe we’re fixin’ to eat sitting here all nekkid.” Bax sounded tickled as all get out.
“I won’t tell.” He wanted to see it so bad.
“No. I’m not sharing this. This is all mine.”
He reached out, and Bax took his hand.
“I mean it, Mini. I wanted this so long and I finally got my shits together. I’m never letting go.”
He grinned, and it spread on his face until his cheeks hurt. “Promise.”
“I swear to God.”
That was enough for him, wasn’t it?Yessir.
The food suddenly smelled and tasted way better than it had in the truck.
He could live with that.
Chapter Three
Bax used to love staying at hotels while they were on tour. Once upon a time he’d never have missed an after-party or a buffet. Now hotels were kind of a logistical clusterfuck. Jason had to get in and out without other cowboys or fans bothering him. There was no sitting at the bar, going to the restaurant—and the after-parties?Jesus Christ, what a nightmare.
“You ready to go in?” Jason asked.
