They pulled back, looking at each other as if they were having a silent conversation only they were privy to.

"He's not dead," the one in the middle said while she was looking at her sister. Those white eyes connected with mine as I took a step backward.

"Who?"

"He who holds your soul," the one on the left clarified. "He whose heart bled for you and will keep bleeding."

"The one you're destined for."

Their presence was suffocating, almost too much to fucking bear, but I didn't budge.

"Hades isn't dead, Kaira," the one in the middle added, her words slicing right through my chest. "But he is not the man you knew."

The one on the right came to me, wrapping her hand around my right wrist. "So tell us, Kaira," she droned.

"Are you willing to kill the man you love if you can't save him from the darkness threatening to destroy us all?"
