“Except that you did.”

I jumped to my feet and walked toward him. We were the same height, almost the same build, and I knew that if I wrapped my hands around his neck, I could push him to the opposite wall.

“Look who’s fucking talking.”

“Guys,” Rowan said, but I was too focused on the blue eyes in front of me.

“You have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“No?” I laughed. “How’s your arm, Moonshine? Are you liking that tattoo on your skin?”

“Ash!” she exclaimed as Dylan’s eyes darkened.

“Get out of my face, Ash,” he spat out.

“No. You’re talking about not hurting her as if you weren’t the one that fucked with her mind the most.”

“Ash! Dylan!” Skylar called out to us, but I was too far gone to listen to her.

“At least I didn’t use her to gain access to the Order,” he murmured, and I lost it.

With a roar, I pushed at his chest, and he stumbled, his back hitting the wall. My hands had a mind of their own, and within a second, I had them wrapped around his neck, holding him pinned to the stone surface.

“Ash, stop it!”

I pressed my chest against his, but it wasn’t fear or anger that flared in his eyes when I looked at them. It was like looking in the mirror, like looking at myself.

He heaved beneath me, but there was no defiance in him. He wasn’t trying to push me away. His hands landed on my chest, and instead of pushing me away, he fisted his hands in my shirt, holding me in place.

I could feel the hardening of his dick against my leg. His mouth opened while his eyes flickered down to my lips and then back to my eyes, inviting me, taunting me, playing with my mind. He was hidden from the rest of them, and if I wasn’t this close to him, I wouldn’t have felt it, but with a small movement, he rubbed his dick against me.

Mine raged in my pants, trying to break free. I wanted to dominate him, to hear him beg. I wanted him to plead for his own release. My hands tightened around his throat, feeling his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down.

His irises dilated, yearning as clear as day.

But I couldn’t do it. Not now, not here.

Before I could tear myself away from him, hands landed on my shoulders, and Rowan pulled me back, all the way to where Skylar now stood.

“Ash, please.” She looked up at me, but she wasn’t begging me to stop. She wasn’t fighting with me. She was begging for something else, but we had too much of an audience now.

I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and held her to me, careful not to have her against my dick. That fucker wanted to play with her as well. I wanted her to play with me, to listen to my every command, and that made me sick to my stomach because just a second ago, that inner monster of mine wanted to play with Dylan.

Play with them both. Take them. Just take them.

She sobbed into my shirt, and I kept my eyes on Dylan and his angry face. Rowan stood between us, observing the situation.

Shuffling behind us pulled my attention, and I turned around to see Kane getting up. “This was fun,” he said. “Now can you all stop fighting? Kiss and make up.” I almost groaned at that statement. “Because it’s quite obvious that the enemy isn’t in this room, but out there. So the question is—what do we do?”

“We need to take Skylar out of Winworth,” Dylan answered, beating me to it. His eyes were pinned to the floor, hands on his hips, while his chest rose and fell with heavy breaths. “She needs to get out of here.”

“I’m not leaving without you,” Skylar argued.

“And you won’t have to,” I told her, placing a kiss on top of her head. I expected to see a thunderous look on Dylan’s face, but it wasn’t there. Instead, something else greeted me—something I never expected to see.

Curiosity.

Need.
