“That would be great.” He followed me into the kitchen. “How are you doing, Paige?”
“I’m fine.” I smiled. “How are you doing?”
“Good.” He nodded.
“What did you want to chat about?” I asked him.
He stared at me for a moment as silence filled the space.
“Ah, hell. I’m just going to come out and say it. Are you leaving my son?”
“What?” I laughed. “No, of course not.”
He let out a breath. “Okay. Good. Let’s go sit on the patio.”
We took our coffee and sat in the loungers by the pool.
“Why would you ask me that? I love Parker.”
“Because you’ve finished what you set out to do, and my son is the happiest I’ve ever seen him. I was just worried?—”
I reached over and placed my hand on his arm. “Harrison, stop. You don’t need to worry. I’m not going anywhere.”
“Does Parker know that?”
“Did he say something to you?” My brows furrowed.
“No. He hasn’t said a word, but I know my son and how he thinks.”
“I’m not going anywhere. I love your son too much. We’re building a life together.”
“Okay then. I’m happy to hear that. I just needed to say my piece to put my mind at ease. I worry about my sons and their happiness. It’s all that matters to me. I may not have been the perfect father, but I have loved those boys since the day they were born, and I have no regrets knocking up their mothers at the same time.”
“You were quite the ladies’ man.” I smiled.
“Were? I still am, darling. Except now, I only have eyes for one special lady.” He winked.
After Harrison left, I headed to The Hamilton Group and went up to Morgan’s office.
“Hey, you.” Morgan smiled.
“Hi. Can you do me a favor?”
“Of course. What do you need?”
“I need you to hack into every security system of the LAPD, FBI, CIA, NSA, and Homeland Security.”
“Why?”
“I need you to erase everything they have on the ‘Judicator.’”
“Yes!” She clapped her hands and then placed her fingers on her keyboard. “Would you like to watch?” She grinned.
“Of course.” I sat down next to her.
As she typed away at her keyboard, her monitors filled with codes.
“Paige?” I heard Parker’s voice from behind.
