Beckett laughed. “It’s Quinton’s wedding too.”

“Yeah, but I don’t get to do his makeup for the ceremony.”

Beckett made a face. “I hope he won’t be wearing makeup for the ceremony.”

She laughed as she pulled him to a stop. “Will you just look at this place? It’s so beautiful here.”

Beckett pulled her to his chest. “With you, life is beautiful anywhere.” He traced his finger down her cheek before picking up where they’d left off before. Small drops of water fell from his hair and landed on her skin, practically sizzling with the heat between them.

Life with Beckett wasn’t what she’d thought it would be—he’d surprised her with his homebody side. He wanted children, wanted to be a T-ball dad. Wanted to put down roots. So did Daisy, but there was a time and season for children in their marriage. Right now, they were enjoying the honeymoon phase.

She dug her fingers into his wet hair, and her whole soul sang. Thiswasa beautiful life.
