“Why can’t you be both?”
She playfully thought about it, looking up at the ceiling before she nodded and brought those gorgeous blue eyes of hers back to me. “Okay. We can do both.”
“Drinks are on me at the bar!” Ghost exclaimed.
“I’ll open up the ice cream shop for some desserts!” Wrecker said as he scooped his Amanda onto his back.
“I’ll get the IV’s ready so no one is hungover,” Doc said as he and Liz stood.
My gaze gravitated back to Anna. “You wanna go get some food and drinks with everyone?”
She swatted me playfully. “The hell kind of question is that. You got pickles, Ghost!?”
“Oh my God, no,” I groaned.
“Hell yeah, I’ve got pickles. A whole ass jar, just for you,” Ghost said as him and Jasmine walked by.
“I’m so done for tonight,” I muttered.
Anna giggled as she wiggled around in my lap. “Come on, you’re my ride. Let’s get going, Bee! The drinks don’t drink themselves!”
“Here fucking here!” King exclaimed as he stood and scooped Char into his arms.
I was proud of her and the progress she made. She was still skittish while in public, but she always relaxed in King’s presence.
I was happy they had one another.
“I better be next,” I heard Amanda say as I stood with Anna in my arms and turned toward the door of the clubhouse. “Ariel and I always dreamed of having tandem weddings.”
“Oh my God,” Ariel said as she climbed onto Cap’s back. “That would be amazing. Could you imagine? A joint reception!?”
“I’m DJ’ing,” Dozer said simply as we all exited The Iron Battalion’s clubhouse.
“Does that mean I can do the catering?” Scout asked.
Wrecker threw his head back with laughter. “Holy fuck, one step at a time, guys. Haven’t even gotten down on one knee yet.”
But then Wrecker peered over his shoulder and tossed me a playful wink.
Something told me we wouldn’t have to wait long before he got down onto one knee, just like Cap did.
Our little family was growing by leaps and bounds.
I couldn’t have been happier for it.
