He lifts her effortlessly onto the stage. “You’re welcome.”
She whips around, mocking him. “You’re welcome. Fuck off.”
Knox rubs a hand messily over his mouth, shaking his head as he rejoins our group. “Fucking impossible.”
Cain snorts, the sound low as he watches Luna glide into her spot.
“Let’s see what all the fuss is about,” Callum crosses his arms over his chest before a heavy drum slam, and the sound of a wailing guitar fills the arena. His eyes widen as the backdrop rolls upwards and reveals Luna.
Something fast and loud fills the air as the blonde takes a deep breath, filling her lungs before belting out. “FUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOUUU!” The guitar shreds impossibly loud as the drummer slams erratically on his set.
“Huh…” Knox trails.
All three men look stunned as Luna screams passionately into the mic.
Kairo and I are losing it as we crack up beside them. Each song is aggressive energy with distorted guitars and a powerful message. The whole backstage area rattles with every new song that slams out of the speakers.
Luna is doing amazing as she calls to the crowd. Her stage presence is addictive with her quick movements and practiced dance choreography. She commands attention, taking hold of the listener and giving them something to remember.
Until a crazy fan breaks past security, who’s distracted and not paying attention. Luckily, as the fan reaches the stage, Cain is already in action, sailing across and wrapping his arms around the man’s waist before tossing him back over the barricade. Luna’s gaze angrily snaps to the venue-hired crew, her eyes narrowing on them before she turns and falls into her next set with smooth ease.
Roman slaps a hand on Knox’s shoulder. “You said to let you know when anything becomes available. I think a spot just opened up.”
Knox’s jaw twinges. “Fuck.”
