“Other than plot to kill you and take over Heaven completely?” I snapped. “Nothing.”
Titan kicked me under the table and I shrugged.
The queens muttered curses under their breaths, and I raised a brow.
“How do you know?” Catherine asked, running a hand through her hair. “I mean, is there any chance you’re wrong?”
“Of course they're not wrong. Astral’s been planning to overthrow us for millennia now,” Isabella said with a frown.
“Where is she now?” Provence asked with her eyes blazing, tapping her fingers on the table.
“Lilith banished her and Zelek both to the heart of Hell.”
Surprised looks crossed their faces.
“Why?”
“Because she and Zelek had planned to use Lilith to get rid of you and the rest of the Kings of Hell to rule together,” Titan said.
“It’s fucked, but we wanted you to be aware.”
“What happened to Gabriel?” Catherine sighed.
“She chained him up and teleported him somewhere.”
They shared more pensive glances.
“Thank you for sharing this with us,” Isabella said, “We owe a debt to Lilith. Please, make sure Astral and Zelek never escape the heart of Hell.”
“Of course,” Titan said.
“Let’s return to Lilith now that this is taken care of,” I stood up and clasped my hands.
We left Heaven in an array of black flames, and I was ready to make up lost time with the woman I loved.
