“Each King of Hell created a demon woman, but only one King was successful in passing the power of creation to his demon.”
“King Zelek,” I muttered with an eye roll.
“The cool thing is, that’s not the only power she received,” the pixie said in a sing-song voice.
Kai’s brows furrowed. “What else did she receive?”
“When King Zelek created her using the power of that event, her soul gained access to ancient power.”
“Power that caused her existence to become unstable...” My eyes widened. “That’s what Gabriel was talking about.”
“But that’s not why he killed her,” Thaddeus said. “He killed her because he’s a bloody psychopath.”
“Of course.” We all knew the real reason the fucker killed her.
“Yes. That’s common knowledge in the realms,” Aziel said with huff, and I rubbed my cheek.
I didn’t bloody know.
“But the vampires did not know,” she said, gesturing to us. “Now, sexy demon, do you know how she was created the second time?”
Aziel glowered at her. “Do you?”
She snorted, flicking her golden hair over her shoulder. “Of course not, but I’d love to know.”
Aziel sighed, moving to lean back in his chair. “I can’t tell Lilith because of the blood oath, otherwise I would’ve already.”
“Bloody blood oath,” Thaddeus muttered.
“You said Lilith,” I pointed out. “Can you tell us?”
Aziel shrugged. “I can try. It’d be nice to finally tell someone about it.”
“So, how did he force her reincarnation?” The pixie asked with a head tilt.
“He worked with a witch...a blood witch. The last of her kind.” He swallowed hard. “The bitch was insane.”
My blood turned to ice.
“There was blood magic found in Heaven. Do you think she’s a part of it?” Kai asked.
He nodded. “I don’t doubt it, and that fucking scares me. You don’t know how twisted that witch is.”
“I can imagine,” I mumbled. We’d read up on blood magic when we became vampires. Since vampires were a fucked up offspring of blood witches and demons, we had learned about them. Blood witches were thought to be eradicated due to their existence leaning toward evil and tipping balance.
“Well, Zelek worked with her to try and bring Lilith back for centuries. He’d tried fornicating with a lot of women thought to have an angelic bloodline.” His shoulders tensed as his gaze seemed to stare off in the distance. It was almost like the air in the room froze.
“What happened to the kids he had with them?” Kai asked.
“He didn’t have kids with them. He killed them during the ritual when it was foreseen they were only mortal.”
“During the mating ritual?” I balked. “While he was…”
He nodded. “Yeah, when he was fucking the women. If the blood witch found no angel essence within the women, he killed them. Burnt them to a crisp with hellfire from the inside out.”
My mouth fell open. Fucking sicko. I had no idea he was that evil. I was sure Lilith didn’t know either.
“So, when he found Mia, Lilith’s mom, what happened?”
