“No kidding.” I sighed, plucking at the bracelet and wincing at the tingles of pain shooting through my skin.
“Do you need to feed?” Gabriel asked, and I glanced up.
Hunger roared in my stomach, and my fangs lengthened at the mention of it. Looking over at my friend and brother, I shook my head. I didn’t want them to see me feed.
“It’s been a day, Lilith. You need to eat to keep your strength up.”
“Go on,” Emma said. “We’ll talk amongst ourselves.”
Hunter turned toward Emma and started talking about someone named Theo before Gabriel tugged on my wrist. We walked toward the bed and sat down on the edge with our backs facing them.
He pushed his hair away and offered his neck, and I sighed.
“Gabriel…”
He straightened before turning his head to meet my gaze. “Too intimate?”
“Yes.” I nodded toward his wrist, and he lifted his arm and gave me his wrist without saying anything else.
I bit into it and sucked down a few gulps of his blood, loving the rush of energy that pulsed through me. Pulling my fangs out, I placed his wrist back in his lap. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.” He got to his feet. “Ready?”
Emma and Hunter turned around and nodded before Gabriel walked toward them. They waved at me, and then they were gone.
