Someone clears their throat, loudly. Okay, maybe something. Damon lifts his mouth from mine with a growl that makes my already soaked panties wetter.

“Public space,” Cam hisses from where he stands near the stairs. “Maybe keep it a little more PG than PG-13, heading toward R?”

“Any longer and it would have definitely been X-rated.” Hawk smirks. “I’m here for it.”

My cheeks heat. Without looking at either of them, Damon studies my face. “Hello, little devil.”

I melt, fucking melt for this guy. “We should...”

Disengage, but I really don’t want to.

He lowers his head and brushes his lips against my ear. “Fuck until we can’t fuck anymore?”

Yup, that sounds much better than my idea.

My mouth is poised to sayyeswhen Cam says, loudly, “Mr. Storm, how was the trip?”

Damon groans softly but lowers my feet to the ground. I quickly adjust all my clothes and he shifts me to stand in front of him when we turn to face the room. His hard cock brushes against me, sending warmth skittering through me.

“It’s a good drive,” Adam says. “Damon said you were planning on going to check out Crowne Mawr. Beautiful campus. It’s not Yale, but it’s a hell of a school.” Adam steps into the rec room and scans it quickly before his gaze lands on me with Damon behind me. “I see you’ve found EvanAnn.”

Damon ducks his head, but not before I see the grin on it.

“It doesn’t take long for those two to collide,” Cam says, and my face feels like it’s on fire.

Damon walks me forward, probably to hide how thrilled he was to see me. “I was just going to tell the guys about the team. You were heading out? Dinner plans?”

Subtle. Real fucking subtle.

“Yeah.” Adam runs a hand over his hair. “This is going to be weird for a while. I’ve never seen you with a girl before. And EvanAnn’s been living with us.”

“If you want, Mr. Storm, I can make sure to occupy Evan with PDA when you’re around.” Cam smirks and gives me a wink.

Yeah, that’s not happening either. Damon steps a little closer to me, and a shiver ripples through me.

“Thank you for the offer, Cam, but I think I’ll just go.” Adam glances over the four of us and then meets my eyes. “If you need anything...”

He leaves it open-ended. He’s in my corner and so is my mother if I need them. It’s hard to describe what I’m feeling because while my mom supported me, it felt like I was alone for so long.

“I’m good. Thank you.” I glance down at the ground, unable to meet his eyes.

He looks just as uncomfortable as I feel and lifts his gaze to Damon’s over my head. “Think about what we talked about.”

“I will.”

Adam sighs and moves to the stairs. “Stay close to each other until we figure out this mess.”

“We’ve got her, Mr. Storm.” Hawk rises from the couch to stand with Cam.

Damon touches my hip, pulling me back against him. The move is subtle, and I don’t know if Adam caught it, but it reignites the flames burning under my skin.

Adam gives a small nod and heads up the stairs.

“Breathe, little devil.” Damon’s words are soft and for my ears only.

I draw a breath into my starving lungs. My mom’s voice meets Adam at the top of the stairs, and I wait to see if she’s going to come down, but their voices move away. I rest my head back against Damon’s chest and breathe him in.

The past few nights it felt like his scent had faded on the sheets, but now with him here, I’m intoxicated by his dark, earthy scent. The feel of his warmth pressed against me. His presence.
