“No…,” Cade whispered, his eyes wide. Aiden wasn’t sure if he was horrified by the thought of working with his mom or the proposed menu.

Either way, it was too damn bad. “It’s my birthday,” Aiden said. “So I get what I want.” He grinned and wrapped his arm around Cade, pulling him down for a kiss. “And I wantyou. Forever.”

“That part’s good,” Cade said seriously. “But—”

“Package deal, my man. Me, my mom, and fish. We can maybe negotiate on the fish.”

“Maybe we could leave the fish and negotiate on your mom,” Cade tried. But he didn’t seem completely serious.

“Let’s talk about it later,” Aiden suggested. He rolled them over so Cade was beneath him, their bodies pressed together, their legs entwined. “For now, focus on how much I love you. No matter what.”

“Okay,” Cade agreed. “Let’s focus on that.”

And they did. For the rest of the night, and the rest of their lives.
