He went back inside and sat back down on the sofa with his mate. "I can't believe my mama is here in Thorne Bay."

"I know. It's crazy, but I'm so glad you get to reconnect with her."

They snuggled up together. "And you'll get to know her. I'm warning you now, she is going to spoil our kid like crazy."

"Her and my mom both. I can't wait to see my mom's face when I tell her I'm pregnant. She's going to freak out. I never thought I would have kids, yet here I am expecting."

"How do you feel about it?"

"Honestly? I'm scared I'm going to fuck up," she confessed.

"We're not perfect. We're going to mess up, but we can do this. We just need a bigger place. Looks like I need to follow Yin's example and build a house. Good thing I have the money to get the land for it," he said.

"You're right, we can do this," she said and curled against him. "We've got each other, and that's what matters."

"You've got that right, darlin', and I'm not going anywhere. Not now, not ever," he growled, tightening his arms around her.

"I love you too, darlin'." He knew their lives were about to change drastically, but together they could handle anything fate threw at them.
