“Again,” I ordered. “Harder this time. Faster too.”

He obeyed. Slowly, he picked up the pace, thrusting in and out, carefully but accurately hitting that spot inside me. My vision stated to white out, and I wrapped my legs around his hips.

“F-fuck,” I whimpered, the breath being knocked out of me with each of his thrusts. “I…I don’t think I’m gonna last much longer…”

“Archie,” Taylor said, looking into my eyes. His hairline had grown damp with sweat.

I stared back at him — at my rival, the person I hated most in the world. The person who was fucking me like he needed it, like he’d been waiting for it all his life.

“Taylor,” I whispered.

He thrust in again, hitting me perfectly, and I dug my fingernails into his biceps as I came, the orgasm shatteringme into a million pieces, as my entire body tightened. A second later, he came too, his body going still as he unloaded into the condom, his jaw tightening, his eyes trained on mine.

I felt like I’d left my body. Distantly, I was aware of Taylor pulling out. I had shot all over his stomach.

He discarded the condom and cleaned us up with his towel, while I lay there, breathing hard, feeling completely boneless. He took the collar off my neck — I forgot I’d been wearing it — and put it on my bedside table.

Then he lay down beside me, pulling me close, so I was in his arms. I didn’t have the energy to fight, so I let my head rest against his chest. He was warm, and I could hear his steady heartbeat.

“What now?” I mumbled.

“Hmm?”

“I’m your slave until sunrise,” I said.

He chest rose as he huffed a small laugh. “We’re not doing anything. You’re half asleep.”

“Just give me a few minutes to recover.” My eyes fluttered closed. “Taylor?”

“Yeah?”

“Why are you doing this?” I asked. “I thought you hated me.”

“I don’t hate you.”

“Then why…?”

He pressed a kiss against the top of my head. “Don’toverthink it.”

Even as I was drifting towards unconsciousness, I was aware that he was being…weird. “Are you sure you don’t want to do anything?”

Everything was clearer when he was the winner, I was the loser, and tonight was his prize. Lying together, cuddling, made everything feel muddled.

“I’m sure,” he said. “I just want to go to sleep in your bed, with you in my arms.”

“Why?”

“Because you’re mine,” he said, like that was answer enough. And for once, I didn’t argue with him.
