The final space.
“Bite,” I whisper. “Please.”
His teeth barely graze, lightly teasing, until I push closer. Beneath me, his now familiar knot swells, my body relaxing as it pushes in. And as his release hits, filling me and sending me flying over that ledge, his teeth sink into my neck with a final, perfect bitemark.
Four mates.
Four marks.
And I can feel them. As if the thread I once felt, locked alone in the dark, is strong and bright inside my chest with a direct line to them.
I canfeelhow much they love me. Theo’s lips press against my hot face, dotting it. “Perfect. So perfect.”
I could feel it even without the bond. As my heat-soaked skin grows cool and trembling, as Jake lifts me, placing me down on clean blankets and Max curls himself around me. As Oscar’s lips touch my hair with murmured praise, and Theo carefully cleans me up with one of the endless supply of cloths they have on hand.
As I fall asleep, surrounded by them in my nest, my heat breaking.
There are no nightmares.
Only endless possibilities.
