BRODY

Kali

How was Hannah’s competition?

Me

How do you know about that?

Kali

We have a fourteen-year-old daughter, Brody. She’s the biggest gossip.

Liv seemed like she had a good time.

Me

It was fun. Cool to see her skate like that.

Kali

Anything else?

Me

We might be spending time together.

And I might like her. A lot.

Haven’t felt this way before, really.

Kali

I KNEW it.

Oh, Brody. I’m so happy for you.

Do you love her?

Me

I’ve never really been in love with anyone before. I love Liv. I love you. I love my guys. But that’s different from how I feel about Hannah.

It’s almost like she completes me.

Kali

You have been smiling a lot more lately.

And Liv adores her.

Me

I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do about it.

Kali

Just let it be. Enjoy it. Enjoy her.
