”Hey, it’s only been two windows,” she says with a laugh.
I called the same guy who fixed my parent’s back door glass to fix this window. At this rate, maybe I’ll get a punch card where my tenth broken glass will be fixed for free.
Arko is happy getting pets for a few minutes, but then he wants his breakfast.
“I’m still going to make this house as safe as possible,” I say.
Keanna nods. “Sounds good to me.”
”And then maybe I’ll call that Caleb guy from the K9 kennel place. I want to let him know the dog he gave us is still a hero, even in retirement.”
“We should invite him over for New Years,” she says, taking a sip of coffee.
“New Years?”
“Oh yeah, I didn’t tell you…” She gives me a sexy little smile over the rim of her coffee mug. “I want to host an epic New Years Eve party at our house. Make it a big celebration of new beginnings. We can invite everyone.”
“A party at our house, eh?” I loop my hand around her waist and tug her close to me. “Sounds like a lot of work.”
“I’ll do all the work. I like that kind of stuff.” She bites her lip, unable to contain her grin. “Can we do it? Please, babe?”
“Woman,” I say, holding her close as I spin her around the kitchen. “You know I can’t say no to you.”
