It took us all at least an hour of tears, laughter, and thanking everyone in the universe that I was able to have children again before Aria shut us all up.
“Mom,” she said as if she were here handing out Christmas cheer and gifts to all of us, “can you feel it yet?”
“That I’m pregnant?” I asked in confusion.
“No. I’m talking about what you are now.”
Val smiled as everyone’s interest peaked.
“I’m not sure,” I said.
“See, you get back with these assholes, and the most powerful immortal on the planet can’t even sense the easy shit,” Val said with a roll of her eyes.
“Did you just say I was immortal?” I asked.
“Yes.” Val snickered.
“You manifested yourself into a baby-making, immortal machine,” Aria said with a laugh.
“Oh, my God,” was all I could say.
That was it. The final key—the final blessing out of everything. I was able to have children again, my daughter was ending her school career sooner than later, and I was going to live immortally with all of those whom I could’ve never kept up with in my human life.
The vampires loved the fact that, even though we couldn’t have children together, I was unbreakable in bed and to anyone that sought to harm me. We were all somehow given a second chance for our sacrifices along the way.
It was over, but in a way, it was all beginning. We were officially bulletproof, and even though I was acreatedimmortal, I was powerful, and soon enough, I would be holding a precious life in my hands—a powerful one. This time, my child wouldn’t be taken and hidden from me—age rapidly in the Fae realm, none of it. It was all good from here, and I was the happiest, most fulfilled and blessed human—turned immortal—woman on the planet.
Living in paradise was something I never thought I’d have, but this was more than heaven, this was a life that was never-ending with happiness, fulfillment, and power, and more than any of us ever asked for in return. This was my life, and thank God I was immortal now because I wasn’t ready for it to end in the average life span of a human—or ever.
The End
