She held up a robe, black with golden moons, and everyone cheered as I slid my arms through it.

The solemn ritual turned into a party in the blink of an eye. People whooped and laughed as they brought out coolers full of drinks from their cars and freshly hunted game to roast over the fires. As I drank and danced and hugged my new family members, I couldn't even believe that I spent most of this lifetime condemning this spiritual practice. The energy in the air was pure joy, kinship, and love. I knew I made the right decision by choosing this family for this brief lifetime.

It was a good half hour before I could sneak away to the edge of the clearing, where Ash and Lucifer calmly watched our celebrations.

"Congratulations, my dear," Lucifer said as he took my hand and placed a small kiss on the back of my palm. "It's good to have you back again."

"Thank you, my Lord," I said, lowering my eyes respectfully before turning to Ash.

My Ash. The one I saved and the one who saved me. My first and forever love.

He wore his usual cool expression but his eyes brimmed with anticipation.

"Tell me," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "Tell me your name from when we first met."

I grinned, my heart nearly bursting with the love I carried for him since the dawn of humanity itself.

"My name is Lilith, the first wife of Adam, consort of demons, and mother of all witches."
