We walk hand-in-hand out into the bright, searingly blue day. Before we turn right and into the Merc, I swing a stare over my shoulder, taking one last look at the black-and-white sign, written in a combination of Judy and my mother’s cursive, each writing their own name.
Judy Lynn’s.
I squeeze Stone’s hand a little tighter. He squeezes back.
That tiny gesture is all I need to be certain that despite all my pain, all our troubles and the loss that came before, I did it.
I found my happily ever after.

I would also love to introduce to you another grump while you wait for Saint’s book. ROCK is a standalone contemporary romance with a young nanny and brooding single dad. Here is your sneak peek:
I swing the door open, and a girl the size of a child greets me.
Her earthy gray eyes rise to meet mine.
“This isn’t the season for girl scout cookies,” I say.
Those same eyes narrow. “Wow, a short joke. I never get those.”
“You look old enough to be someone’s prom date.”
“And you look like you should be an extra on the set of theAquamanmovie.” She blinks. “I guess we both missed our calling.”
I frown. My hair’s down and I’m considered a large, tall man, but…“I’d argue I’m more Tarzan-ish than ocean man-fish.”
“And I’d argue that my height makes me spry and able to corner toddlers under tables,” she quips.
I give an unintentional smile, “I’m guessing you’re Harper Mei.”
"That’s me.”
I angle my head. “You’re wet.”
