He rolls his eyes as he turns around to face me, wrapping his arms around my neck. “Caveman.”
“Yours,” I say and kiss him hard. “And you’re mine.”
“Always.” I smile into another kiss as we let the water rain down over us.
Four years ago, I never could have seen this. Ever. I thought I was alone in the world. That I had to fight everyone and everything, but when I stopped fighting—oddly enough, that’s when things fell into place.
I wasn’t alone. I found everything I needed.
Making it so nothing was temporary anymore and the future we built together was 100 percent permanent.
