He snickered against her mouth, his nose nuzzling hers. “Your wish is my command.”

He grinded into her, his hardening dick making her moan, right before a heavy knock sounded at the door.

“What the hell are you two doing in there?” Leah called from the hall. “Seriously, I’m trying to stop World War three erupting outside, and you two are getting naked? What the fu—”

“You can handle it,” Gabi yelled. “We’re done adulting tonight.”

“No, you’re not. I can’t do this on my own.” Leah twisted the door handle, her entry stopped by the lock. “Are you honestly in the mood at a time like this? What the hell is wrong with you?”

Blake pulled back to look Gabi in the eye. “Maybe we should—”

“Nope.” She clapped a hand across his mouth. “You’re going to stay here and kiss me until you’re no longer picturing your fist going through Tyler’s face.”

“That’s going to be a while,” he mumbled against her palm.

“I’m in no hurry.”

The thumping at the door returned. The heavythud, thud, thudongoing.

“Stop it.” Gabi dropped her hand from Blake’s mouth and clung tight to the back of his neck. “Quit with the knocking.”

“I’m not knocking,” Leah grumbled. “I’m banging my head. You two are the worst friends in the world. You know you’re killing me, right?”

“Look at the bright side,” Blake replied. “At least I’m not killing your son.”

The thuds stopped.

“That’s real fucking mature, Blake.” Leah’s voice faded down the hall. “Real fucking mature.”

Gabi smiled despite the drama. They would get through this, just like they got through everything else.

If her parenting skills wavered, Sidney or Melody would pitch in, taking on the comforting Aunt roll. Sean and Mitch would do the same for Tyler.

Nobody was ever left to suffer alone.

“Are you okay?” Blake cupped her cheek.

“Yeah. I am.” A big part of her grieved for the child she was losing, but the rest of her filled with pride at the mature young woman she had created. “We’re not too bad at this parenting thing.”

“Are you serious?” He shot her a confounding look. “You do realize I still want to run Tyler over with my car, right?”

She chuckled. “There’s going to be no violence, Mr. Kennedy.”

“If that’s the case, you need to do a better job of distracting me, woman.”

“Is that so?”

“Of course it is. You have to divert this one-track mind away from attempted murder.”

She glided her mouth over his, loving him with everything she had. “You know, you used to have a one-track mind on something far more enjoyable.”

“Did I?” He grinded into her, the hardness of his cock rubbing right between her thighs. “Maybe it’s time to get back to those good ol’ days.”
