Lucifer’s right. I relax and then take in the lights hanging above the space and the crystal hearts interspersed. The red and pink roses are gorgeous adorning the arch where my man is standing. All the faces taking me in are filled with love and acceptance.

“Thank you,” I whisper to Lucifer, and he grins down at me.

I know he’s one of the scariest men in New Orleans, but right now he’s just the closest thing I’ve ever had to a dad. And I love him for it.

When we finally reach where Dean is waiting for me, Lucifer kisses my cheek and passes my hand over to my man. “You take care of her, she’s a gem,” he rumbles.

Dean nods once, his face serious. “Always,” he promises.

As he holds my hands in his, the word melts away. It’s just us in this moment. We pledge our lives, our hearts, and our souls to each other.

Part of Dean’s vows echo around me, embedding in the very essence of who I am. “There will be darkness because you truly appreciate the light, the good, with out the dark and the bad. But know this, Sugar,” his eyes are locked with mine, “I will always be at your side. Dark. Light. Sick. Well. Poor. Rich. None of that matters. This,” he squeezes my hands before his gaze sweeps out across the people watching us, “is what matters. Family. Home. You. With my touchstones so clear, I know forever will feel like just a moment in time and not nearly enough.”

My man. The big fucking softie.

By the time rings are exchanged and Gallows is gearing up for the big finale, I can’t take it anymore. I let out a low growl, cupmy man’s jaw and pull him down to me. I kiss him with the roar of our family’s laughter and joy echoing around us.

My devil. My Valentine.
