“You got quiet there, all of a sudden,” he says. “Something on your mind?”

I could say the words right now and see what he thinks. Maybe it’s not too soon. But then I look into those beautiful blue eyes of his and see how much my old-fashioned guy would want to be the one to say them, so I shake my head.

“Just thinking about the future. That’s all.”

Liam gently pulls me back down to rest against him and sighs. “I love you. We can deal with the future tomorrow. Tonight, let’s just be Liam and Mia, two people crazy about each other.”

He’s right. Tomorrow is good enough for the future. Tonight is for us.

“I love you, Liam.”

With his arms wrapped around me, I feel safe like I’ve never felt before him. Now only one thing could make my life perfect.

I hope someday soon that big family of his will be my family too.
