I walked him to the door and then he was gone.
It wasn’t often that Drax went over to people’s houses. The fact that he came over to personally speak with me had to mean that he trusted me. Respected me. Wanted to make sure Allegra was doing okay.
That was where the problem lay with the rest of the world—nobody saw a biker for who he really was.Allegra continued to sleep and I sat on the edge of the bed, watching her.
Drax was gone for over half an hour, and since then, I just sat here, staring at the woman who had managed to tame me.
Claiming her meant so much more than having her in my bed. Meant more than sex.

She stirred and then blinked her eyes open. Maybe she sensed she was being watched.
“Flash…” she said my name groggily and then sat up. She was clutching the blanket to her tits, covering them. The best part about her.

“Is everything okay?” she asked.
“Everything is fine,” I replied and finished the whisky in my glass. She was watching me, following my every move with those piercing blue eyes.
“Sorry I fell asleep, you should have woken me. I was just so…tired and then I felt relaxed.”
“You needed the sleep. It’s okay,” I said.
Allegra stood up and came toward me. The blanket trailed after her and now she stood in front of me. The burning fireplace behind her made her glow like a goddess.
“Drax was here. He came to see me.”
“What did he have to say? Is everything okay with the Silver Knights?”
She looked concerned, but this was as good a time as any to give her a reality check.
“No, things are not fine with the Silver Knights. I want you to know we are in the middle of a war with them. Things are only going to get worse before they get any better.”
Her eyes grew bigger as she watched me speak.
“But I promise you, as my woman, as an official part of the MC—I will do everything I can to keep you safe. To keep you out of harm. But you’re going to see a lot of things you won’t like.”
“If you’re trying to scare me, Flash, it’s not working. I know exactly what I’m signing up for,” she replied.
I clenched my jaws and nodded. A faint smile tugged her luscious lips.
“And your ex. Billy. One of our guys is going to take care of him.”
That smile drooped quickly. The last time I’d hinted at something like this, she was hesitant. But this was the way it had to be if things were going to move forward. She needed to learn the hard way. I was about to say just that, but she interrupted me.
“Okay,” she said.
I stared at her to see if she would have any other reaction.
“Okay?”
“I want him off my back. He’s done enough damage. He’s shown me what he’s truly capable of. I don’t want to run from him forever.”
Slowly, she sat down beside me. Our legs grazed. She let the blanket fall away from her body. Her glorious bare body. She was absolutely fuckin’ perfect and I was going to worship her every day.
Allegra touched my leg with her hand gently.
“I want to focus on you. On us. On building a life together here. I don’t want to run anymore. I want Billy gone from my life. Whatever it takes.”
Good. So she was clear on what was going to happen.
But this was what I wanted to hear. I needed her to admit she would not regret this decision later. The fact that a man was going to die because of her.
I grabbed her by her shoulders and pulled her in so I could kiss her delicious mouth. She opened wide so I could thrust my tongue into her. I tasted her. She was sweet. Small. Tender.
I pulled away from her so I could stare at her again.
“Drax knows. He’s going to inform the rest of the MC. I’m claiming you as my woman. You're mine.”
Her eyes glowed in the dim light of the room.
“This is the only thing I wanted to hear. This is the only thing I want. To be yours,” she said. Then I watched as she slid down the bed, getting on her knees in front of me. “And now let me show you how faithful I am going to be to you. I want you to see I’m only yours.”
