I turn around to grab some coffee for her. "Like I was saying, I don't work here," I state, and she walks closer to me. "I'm Sky, nice to meet you." I put my hand out for her, but she walks to the other side of the counter.

"You need to leave my brother alone. I mean, have you looked at yourself? First, he can do a lot better than you, you don't know anything about him or the struggle he went through to grow up, so take your five minutes of fame and fuck off."

“I’m not interested in his fame, I—”

“I don’t really care what you from him, but you’re not getting it. You’re going to be another whore that’s come after him—a whore that isn’t getting anything—”

"I'm not a whore, and I’d like you to stop calling me one, please." Wow, she’s letting it all out today. By the looks of it, she’s not leaving unless she breaks me.

"I can call you what I want when it's the truth. You know I can't find anything about you, so that, to me, means you have something to hide. What are you hiding?” Madison walks over to the kitchen counter without taking her eyes off of me.

“I’m not hiding anything, and if I did it’s none of—”

"You're fucking my brother, so it is my business,” she spits. “So when some trash comes knocking on my brothers' door, I'm going to make sure that—“

"Before you even know me, you've made up your mind that you don't like me, but—“

“Where are your parents?” she demands.

“Dead.”

“How?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.” I can’t believe this is happening, and where the hell is Trey?

"How do I know that you're not some drug addict, your parents were the dealers, and they died from getting mixed up with the wrong people? How do I know that you're not going to fall and bring drugs to my brother? I think you need to leave now."

I look away from her. She isn't that far from the truth about my parents, but so far from me.

"Madison, what are you doing here?” Trey yells.

“Saving you,” she states. “your whore was about to leave.” She turns to look at me, and I turn away from them as I try to control my emotions.

“You can’t talk to her like that.” Trey walks over to me. “Hey,” he says softly, giving me a quick kiss.

“Trey, what do you know about her, how did her parents die, why is—”

“Madison, enough—”

I cut him off. "I told Calvin that when you get back, I'll go over to meet him. I've made lunch for you,” I tell him as I walk around the counter.

“Shorty,” he pleads. I turn around to face him. “Stay. What did she say to you?”

“Nothing. Just talking, that's all." I'm not going to be the girl who’ll lose a fight this fast. Madison wants us to break up, and I know how close Trey is to his family, so I'm not about to make it harder for myself with them. "I'll call you once I get there."

“Have a good time,” he replies, and I nod. I look over at Madison and smile.

"I'll walk you out," Derek says as he grabs my bag, and walks me out. "What did she say?"

“Nothing. I told you I’d back him no matter what, and I am. Now I’d like to go out with my friends and get drunk." Taking the bag off him, I get my rental car before he can say anything else to me.

I know that it was going to be hard getting his family to like me. Jade took some time, Tracy liked me from the get-go, but Madison doesn't seem so easy to win over. The only thing she cares about, is breaking us apart.

I told Calvin and Finn about Madison, and even they thought it was over the top with what she’s doing. They both said not to let her get to me. I have Jade and Tracy—they'll help me, and there’s no way Trey will leave me. But, my fight there was, why? Why don't you just leave me? That's his sister. If she wanted to, she could get him to breakup with me without even thinking about it.

Calvin told me I was overthinking it, and just enjoy my time with Trey, as I'm the one that said it's just some fun. So, why would it bother me if it ends tomorrow? I know Calvin is right—this is fun with Trey, and I should enjoy it while it lasts.
