“I introduce to you your new Princes, Cage Van Drakken and Sebastian Sanguinis. As well as Scarlett Nightingale, your new Queen!”
The crowd cheers as my beast practically purrs at the sight. Cage and Sabre stand on either side of Scarlett and take her hand.
She’s beautiful. Her tight-fitting dress cups her curves and dainty silver chains glitter with moonlight every time she moves. Her red hair seems to be made of fire under the soft light, delicately pinned back in a simple style that suits her.
She holds her head high as she marches forward until she’s at the end of the perilous platform. Any other mortal would tremble and be at risk of falling, but not my Scarlett.
I walk up from behind her and hold up my hands to quell the roar of the crowd until utter silence fills the city.
“Elites, humans and monsters, inhabitants of this great city, I ask you, do you accept Scarlett Nightingale as your Queen?”
Silence meets my question, but I don’t let worry gnaw at me like I know it must be for my mate.
My fingers work with all the power I had been absorbing from the prayer. Every member in my city had partaken, giving me access to their mind and their dreams.
I fashion a crown with it, making a spectacular piece of jewelry that is a mixture of fractured glass, diamonds, white gold, and the pure form of a city’s dream.
One of a new era of peace and prosperity unlike any we have ever seen.
“Queen Scarlett!” a voice cries from the Immortality Sector. I recognize it as Duke Nightingale from the crowd.
I smirk. Given everything he’s been through in the past few days, I wasn’t sure if he was going to be supportive.
For that, I will bless his village with a boon none of my Elites have ever seen before.
“Queen Scarlett!” another voice echoes.
Then another.
And another until the entire City across every sector is chanting my mates name.
I can’t see her face, but she’s holding onto Cage and Sabre for dear life.
She knows what comes next after I have crowned her.
I lower the crown and nestle it onto her head. It’s a perfect fit and there’s a hum of energy between the three of us, priming us for a connection unlike one we’ve ever been able to achieve.
The three of us having sex is one thing, but this is the culmination of all of our power concentrated into one place with one goal, one purpose, one need.
“I present to you, your blood Queen,” I say before I lean in.
And bite.
Scarlett’s lips part on a silent gasp as she endures my teeth puncturing her flesh.
Cage and Sabre gently take up her arms and do the same, piercing her skin with their fangs. I know Sabre’s hurts more than mine, but Scarlett doesn’t cry out. She doesn’t make any sound of complaint.
To my surprise, her eyes flutter closed and she smiles as she leans back into me.
That’s my good girl.
Delicious, Sabre agrees, surprising me with his thoughts in my mind.
Like peaches and cream and sex, Cage adds with his crass tone.
The crowd roars in approval and I know nothing will ever be the same all because of Scarlett.
She’s everything.
She’s perfect.
She’s our Blood Queen.
