Me: Don’t question my instincts. I saved everyone.

Me: You promised me you’d tell him. You have to.

Me: And tell him I don’t think he’s nearly as mean as he wants people to think.

Decebal: There is no chance in hell that I’m texting New Oxford’s most dangerous mercenary at 2 in the morning to tell him the crazy weapon-of-war omega thinks he smells like moon dust.

I scowled.

Me: Okay. Morning is acceptable.

Me: Also. Dusk told me about your pack mate and the aura sickness. I’m really sorry.

Decebal: Thanks. It’s been rough.

Me: How’s the pack doing?

Decebal: Honestly, not great. Everything’s absolute havoc right now, especially the bond. We weren’t exactly stable before.

Me: You definitely need an omega.

Decebal: No luck yet.

Me: You will.

Me: I trust.

Me: You’re going to get your scent match and a princess bond just like you always wanted. Angel will be better in no time.

I shut off my phone and lay back down, climbing in between Dusk, Umbra and Ransom and passing back out with ease.

By morning, I was completely refreshed and ready for the honeymoon. We had the rest of our vacation to try out the local food, go shell hunting on the beach, and snorkel in the ocean off the edge of our bungalow—which sounded great until I spotted a shark. No amount of convincing from my alphas could make me dip a toe in after that. I was, however, happy to watch them risk it on a deck chair with an ice drink.

Umbra was happy to swim until he turned into a prune, and I wondered if he was reconsidering his dislike for Marine Biology. He had enrolled in a culinary program, and woodworking alongside Ransom for next term, so he would have room in his schedule.

It was going to be amazing. I would be in classes with Dusk and Roxy, and I would be living on campus with my pack, threat free at last, with all the studying in the world to do.

That evening we curled up on the bed with the view of the stars through the ceiling window and I brushed my finger along my ring. Three layers of uneven diamonds.

Perfection.

My purr rumbled to life as my chest uncoiled and I took my first true breath with the realisation that this was it. The start of my happily ever after with my alphas.

At the start of this all, I’d set out to find my mates with the belief that I would never be worthy of love—that I would have to beg them to take me.

Instead, I had found so much more than that.

The End.
