“What do you think?”

“It’s beautiful, but…” Oh, my God. Was he serious? “Are you sure?”

He rose to his feet and took my hand in his. “I know it’s fast, but… I want you, Chloe. I want to spend every single day with you.”

His sincerity tugged at my heart. Yes, it was fast but who cared? I loved him and he loved me. Why wait? “I’d love to.”

He pulled me in for a kiss, then extracted the box from my hold. He took the ring from the box and slipped it onto my finger. “As much as I want to marry you right this second, we can push the ceremony out as long as you’d like—within reason,” he amended. “No more than a couple of years.”

I didn’t need years. Hell, I didn’t even need a week. The last thing I wanted was some huge service with hundreds of people staring at me. I peered up at him. “How would you feel about a quiet civil ceremony?”

His gaze turned speculative. “Is that what you want? We could elope, go away somewhere.”

“All I want is you.”

He yanked me against him and his lips crashed against mine in a claiming kiss. He pulled back almost as abruptly and stared down at me. “Is tomorrow too soon?”

I grinned. Hey, if we were going to run, we may as well sprint.
