Unamused, William set out to remove her and regain his peaceful experience. William has no choice, as he’s here to prevent evil taking hold. But Lyra is disturbing things and waking something that shouldn’t be woken.
Lyra doesn’t believe in ghosts. But strange things are happening, such as the lighthouse working again, with its protective beam reaching out across the waves and warning of danger. Plus, the ugly government-run lighthouse just collapsed into a pile of rubble. Destiny is coming, and nobody can outrun it.
Can William keep evil in place, or will Lyra inadvertently release it and condemn everyone and everything?
